CORE STATES FINANCIAL CORPORATION, Philadelphia PA1986-1991 Senior Vice President, Organizational Consulting and Senior Executive Development (Top 200) (Post-Merger, 1990-1991) * As special assistant to the Chairman, successfully facilitated meetings with newly appointed 22- person Management Committee and met goals of effective consultation to the Chairman. * Successfully developed and implemented 15 transition management workshops and consulting projects resulting in speedier, less costly integration.

 

Senior Vice President, Development and Organizational Consulting (Pre-Merger, 1986-1990) * Hired and developed a staff of six professional consultants and educators who conceived and delivered an extensive required and elective Core Curriculum of 20 management development programs/seminars. * Designed and implemented succession planning, executive assessment, career development and performance management initiatives that resulted in improved management readiness and more realistic performance appraisals. * Used HR functions and services such as job, design, flexible time off, incentives, job analysis, and business planning to solve specific business issues.

Courses included developmental assessment and skill building that resulted in significant managerial behavior change, from users to developers. * Marketed and serviced 15 outside corporate Management and Organizational Development clients (e.g., Philadelphia National Bank, Pepsico), including customized design and follow-up consultation. * Developed and presented new products for internal and outside use, e.g., stress management seminars, Outward Bound, career counseling and development. * Designed and implemented 15-20 Organizational Development interventions per year that produced decreased managerial overlap, collaborative decision-making, increased managerial decisiveness. * Researched and proposed new policy in compensation practices for non-partners.
